My mom claims that she set up a 55 gallon tropical tank (freshwater) with kissing gouramis, neons, a gourami, and a common plec (maybe some other fish were in there) when I was little (before I was 6 years-old)--I guess because she thought I would like it.
Then, I had my first 5 flat-back hex gallon tank with 1 or 2 and a (horrid) betta hex (holds about a pint of water) when I was in 5th grade.
Later when I was 19, I had the same type of 5 gallon that I had before with 2 F8s (figure 8 puffers) in freshwater

. Then later, I added a fugu puffer

. **GASP!!!!!!!!!** They were ALL in the same tank at the same time!!!!!!!! THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!
Last November, I bought a betta from Wal-Mart

and put him in a one gallon bowl, and then into a Eclipse Hex 5 (5 gallon), and then later added a giant Columbiam ramshorn snail.
Now, I am proud to say that I have learned *some* self-control when getting new fish, and I am SLOWLY learning how to control MTS (not the snails, those are a different story

) I am also even more HAPPY

to announce that I do RESEARCH BEFORE I bring anything home!
**I seem to like 5 gallon tanks...
