Awesome Gary! I made an isolation tank to fit in the 180 over the weekend to try and save some of the German blues blushing wigglers. It doesn't look like much and I've still got a glass splinter in my finger but... fingers crossed--it may just work out. I fitted it with some nylon stockings to allow water circulation but prevent them from escaping. It's just a little thing 8 x 8 x 6 and I really hope it works.

Laughing Sliced fingers crossed, eh?

From what you've told me about it - I'm sure it'll work out for you. One thought - is the nylon on the side or the bottom? Just thinking that if it was a side - it might help with flow PLUS a solid bottom would help keep the BBS where the little guys can get to them.

Wow. I didn't do the grid thing to estimate but I would have to guess 200? I'm not so good at eyeballing but there are quite a few.

I used the nylon stockings on the bottom. I made a bottom of sorts from strips of glass and left about a 3 inch squarish opening on the bottom. I tried to do the side thing but it wasn't holding up too well so for strength purposes I went with four sides, with cross braces on the bottom.

it's not pretty but I think it's functional LOL
I'll take a pic tonight
