Did a quick 50% water change on the ABN tank tonight - and at the very end I saw a little yellow blob spiraling through the tank.
When I got real close to the tank, I saw that it was a brand new ABN fry with a big old yolk sac on it.
Funny thing is - I had no idea they'd spawned. I have three very nice slate caves in the tank and a bunch of driftwood. Dad had been a bit shy lately, hanging out underneath a piece of driftwood...and now that I think about it, he was fanning quite a bit...but I had no clue.
So far I just got a glimpse of one. Based on the size of the yolk sac, they're really young. So in the next few days, I should see more come out in the open.
Here's the lone wiggler by my sponge filter.
I had a nice ABN breeding trio before that I gave away, but it looks like I have another pair. How cool.
More pics when the rest of them come out.
