What is that hole in the wall near the base board? Was that Killian's induced?
Killian's is okay for an AMERICAN beer. Just glad to see you're not drinking cold piss.

You do not want to get into a "world beers" discussion with me, Ms. Rice Bowl. I've drank them all. Maybe we should all get together for a taste test some time????
Clunk....start searching for cheap flights.
and is good, too.
And the hole...was...well...nevermind. It's an old hole. I call it the "power hole."
No jokes.

I think I'm keeping one of the Magnum 350's on it - to run as a polisher with the diatom.
I upgraded my kid's whisper 30 to a whisper 60. So that leaves me with a Magnum 350, an Emperor 400 biowheel, his old whisper 30, and a couple whisper 60's.
Might wind up keeping one whisper 60 for my 55...but I'm open to suggestions on the others.
And the setup is pretty slick. I watched the DVD just to be safe, but you really didn't need it for setup. I do like that it has manitenance on the DVD since it's pretty different to maintain than all my past filters.
So far I'm loving it! I put a bunch of my old gunky media in it to help seed it & will leave one of the magnums running for a week or so until I'm convinced the FX5 is good and colonized.
It has a nice quiet hum to it & although it pumps out a huge amount of water, it doesn't disturb the surface much at all. The damn thing's a monster, though. It barely fit in the hole in the front of my stand. I had to tilt it at the right angle - like pushing a big couch through a small doorway.
I don't know why a filter excites me so much...but I'm really psyched about this thing. It's really cool.

I do love mine as well. I had 3 of them at 1 point running on different tanks
Please let me know what you decide to rid of filter wise. I just picked up 4 new 75 gallon tanks that need some loving

For sure I can get rid of one Magnum, the Emperor, at least one whisper 60 - and the smaller whisper 30.
Call me this weekend or PM me if you'd like any of them.

My grandmother was an Irish immigrant, my dad is northwestern Italian (from Genoa), my mom's mom's family is from Palermo, Sicily, and my mom's dad's family are Cajun. I'm an un-American American. I'm more cultured than the average American. Gary, you forget that I lived in Germany for 3.5 years. The best beers I've had were brewed by Belgian monks. Read that Killian's Red bottle. It's an American beer with a fancy Irish name. I'd be up for a beer tasting gathering.
I'll leave the hole jokes alone.

I know Killians is American. Like you said - it's on the label.
I just polished off a Fischer's Amber (German) - that's nice, too.
Also like Boddington's....good stuff. So where & when's the tasting????
