Post subject: New Discus Pics through Dirty Glass
The latest Discus pics.
You might notice that I scraped off all the black paint & re-did the background light blue. I had some health problems, so i hit them hard with antibiotic, swapped out some substrate & lightened up the background. Everyone seems to be healthy & happy now.

Yeah - heard & read a few things about the black maybe being detrimental to discus' mood. And their mood can definately make them sick.
Makes the whole tank look brighter, though.

I also think if you are trying to create a bright tank why would you use a dark colour ?

Nope - just flash reflections I guess. He's powder Blue. Most commonly (and incorrectly) called a cobalt, it's really a Brilliant Blue.
If you mean the white & reddish one, he's a red dragon.

I really like the different colors of discus. That alone brightens the tank up. But I also like the blue background than the blk. In fact all my painted tanks are light blue none are blk.
