Is this advisable or would the betta mess with it too much. I had a Bamboo shrimp a long time ago and really liked it. I have a male betta and a BPleco in a 5 gallon Hex tank and was looking for another friend.
Thanks

Nope. The betta will pester the shrimp, and they shrimp will stay in hiding. This is for a 5 gallon tank?

Yeah, just an eclipse 5 gallon. I was just curious because my betta sits on the filter half the day and my 1/2" pleco sits under a piece of driftwood all day so there is never any movement until feeding. Would I be better off with a ghost shrimp or two, or nothing at all?

What kind of pleco do you have in there?

The betta is fine by himself. I had this same tank, and I had kept a male betta in there. Every once in awhile, I kept ghost shrimp in there with him. They served as a cleaning crew, a food source, and exercise for the betta.

I attempted to house one bamboo shrimp in the tank, but there was just not enough current to keep her happy, so she went back into the main tank.

bristlenose pleco, so it shouldn't get too large. The ghost shrimp exercise is a good idea because the betta is so lazy, it sticks itself to the filter intake so it doesn't have to float on its own. It kinda makes me laugh actually, and when I turn the light on, it zips up the to glass or chases the pleco imediately.
Thanks for the help.
