Thanks everyone!

There looks like there is about 50-100 of them. I can't really tell. Daddy will siwm up to me and try to chase me away, so I leave him alone so that he can pay attention to his job. He's still doing a great job! I've been watching him cleaning the fry in his mouth and sticking them back in the nest and moving them to better spots and still adding bubbles to the nest.

I think the next thing to do tonight is to stick in a ton of Java moss for infusoria?

I was going to try to leave him with the fry to raise them, and then remove him if I see him munching on his offspring.

I know that there are some betta breeders that are successful with that method and have kept the father in until he started trying to spawn with his daughters.

Yes, I know, they are seperate species.

So, I was a bit careless when I put in the mass of Java moss in the tank. I knocked some of the fry out of the nest, but it looked like they all swam back up to the bubble nest.

Also, some of them look like they are hanging onto the plant leaves that are surrounding the nest.

New update:

Daddy moved the nest again. There are more fry that look like they are just about ready to be free swimming. There are a few fry that are free swimming. I caught daddy putting one in his mouth and spat him back out near the nest. I had the net in my hand, just in case he started eating them. I've been putting a few pellets in the tank for him to keep him fed.

Well, they are swimming all over the tank. Daddy was beating up the SAE pretty bad, so I removed him (SAE).
