since i got on the net , i had join well over 100 fish forum.

peoples from others forums want me to join everyday.

once they got me as a member, than they do not want me,
it seem like they just wanted my name on the members list.

so now i am droping the lot of forum from my list.

right now i only take part in under 10 forums.

i think that will drop to 5 or less, by the look of it.

so my advice to you is, make your members feel like they are wanted here.
if one of your members make a post asking a question, make sure someone reply to it. maybe you can help, maybe you can not, that fine. but do reply to it.
so far i am happy with this site.

on my site i try to answer every post, not i may miss one now and then.

in the last 2 months i made over 1500 posts, somewhere.

want to get more members. here is something i will be doing soon.

you will need your local pet shop help on doing this.

have it that anybody who is the member of your forum get xx amount off, when they buy fish or supplies, from whatever pet shop will work with you.

i have my own pet shop. but i am talking to two others pet shop about it.

and it look like we will be doing it, in a bit. there just a few bugs to works out.

now of course it will only be for the peoples in the local area, unless you ship. it something to think about.

Funny you should mention that - check out the Pet World New & Hot section...a post from a few days ago...we're working on the discounts. Possibly a discount card.

i been thinging about this for the while now.

I think we need another "tropic fish" category. I have some fish that are not under any of these categories. Maybe an "anything goes", or "other", or the dreaded "hybrid" category of fish. Not all my fish are hybrid, but I have some others that do not fit in any of the "tropical fish" categories.

How about a picture of the month thread. Winner selected with votes from other members and then recieving a gift card to a LFS or something like that
