You all may have noticed I've not been on much lately, missed the meeting at Pet World, let the ad-free feature here expire, screwed up an obvious L-Number etc...

It's not that I've lost any zeal for the forum or fishkeeping. Quite the contrary. It's been a challenging couple of months.

Work is not great. I'm a business to business sales manager - lots of travel lately & some other unpleasentries.

That alone is no biggie - but on labor day my 20 year-old nephew died completely out of the blue. The last few weeks have been pretty weird.

I'm not telling you guys this for sympathy - just wanted to explain why I may be a bit more disconnected & seem more scattered recently.

Sorry if it looked bad - but hopefully you all understand. THANKS FOR BEING HERE!

But you know - my fish tanks have given me moments of serenity. I think that's why I love them so much. Complete calm. I even slept in the basement a few nights so I ould hear them & watch the fish. I know I'm weird...but it helped.

But yes i know exactly what you mean by the quiet moments spent looking in the tanks and just listning to the sounds they make, very calming and relaxing Which is probably one of the joys of fish keeping (probably the part that keeps us all sane) Bit like fishing as well [smilie=pescatore.gif] I am sure that if we all think about it we have found solace in our tanks on at least more than one ocasion, i know i have
