Anyone have a line on a couple/few yo yo loaches? I like em plus I could use some snail help...and I'm not real sure I want a 16" clown in my tank.

I've seen them at both Charlie's Angels and at Aqua Pets within the past month or so. They were $6.99 at Charlie's and like $2.99 at Aqua Pets I believe. I did buy mine at Charlie's since thats the first place I saw em.

Is it because of the plants I brought over? If so, I'm sorry Gary.

Gary, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like an update on Charlie's. I haven't been there in quite awhile because of the quality and treatment of the fish.

Heck no - I had Ramshorn prior to that and as you know you only need one or two to start a breeding frenzy. I doubt the few that came on your plants made it any worse.

I wound up not going to Charlie's at all. I called and they were higher than others. I wound up going to AquaPets - who also didn't have any - but they did have some very nice brown Kuhli's in.
When all was said & done i wound up buying the last three Yo Yo's that Pet World had. I did so kind of begrudgingly because Chris & Haley aren't there anymore...but they had what I needed at a decent price so I went.
And what cool little fish. I love watching them go after flake...their swimming is so jerky and spastic looking...kind of funny compared to my calm, slow-swimming discus.
I also learned why they call them "Yo-Yo's." Anyone else know? I'll post a couple of pics soon...but suffice to say I'm very happy with the additions.

"Yoyo" Loach (Botia almorhae)
The name stems from the juvenile pattern consisting of alternate Y's and 'O's along the fish's sides, and the name was first used by Ken Childs.

Thanks for the update, Gary. Glad to see that you didn't go to Charlie's Angels.
Clunk and funky got the answer before I did.

Heh, heh.
I see my baiting of clunkster worked.
Exactly. I just learned that after I bought them...although I didn't know the guys name who made it up.
I LOVE these fish! They're such fun to watch. I'll post some pics today.
