Another great buy!

I decided to get some loaches to add some variety - but mostly to help with snail control. I know clowns are the best at it...but they get BIG. So after some research I found that Yo Yo's do a moderately good job eating snails, only get to about 4", and look really cool.

After looking a few places, I grabbed three. Here are a couple pics...

I have really become fond of these fish.

One interesting thing is that their black markings fade and re-appear quite often. You can see in the second pic that the fish's markings look weaker. He was stressed because I had just put them in. Five minutes later they were back dark as ever. I've seen it happen a few times since.

These guys are very active and behave a lot like a puppy does. If they see you they zip right over to look - then quickly get bored with you and swim off.

They get right into the middle of my swarm of 10 discus while they're feeding & steal food from them.

Overall - a nice, fun addition to my 150. I may just get another 3 when I get a chance!

You will find them an interesting fish, and that the colour will appear to look washed out time from time, also expect them to get bigger than 4" as i have kept them before and have had them reach about 6" in size, also if you ever net them for any reason do not place your hand under them Shocked

Very neat looking little buggers for sure. I'm sure they'll keep that tank nice and snail free for you
