All 3 of my Otocinclus have died. They were doing a good job too. Every 2 days one would be a floater. I wonder if they don't like 74 degrees? My water is clean as a whistle.

If all your water parameters check out okay and your tank is cycled (which I know the latter is), then I wouldn't worry too much over it. It's hit and miss with otos, but usually more miss.

Ok! I had to go to 4 different fish stores to find any where the ratio of dead to alive in the tank was better than 1:1 but I got 3 more Otos. Hopefully a couple will pull through this time.

I actually saw a molt happen last night while I was adding the Otos, that was wierd and neat to see. This morning I found another molt and discovered my 3rd berried CRS female! Keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully in 3 weeks I'll have some hatch.

I have a nasty bunch of BBA all over my moss. I am taking it out a bit at a time and soaking in an Excel solution which works good.

Oh and I just saw

180 gallon for sale I'm not sure if $400 is good for all equipment or not if anyone is in the market. If I had room I would probably pick it up.

That's a fantastic price, particularly if it comes with equipment too. My Oceanic 180 was over a grand for just the tank and stand, never mind the four double tube strips and two PC lights sitting on top, the two canisters underneath, two 300 watt heaters inside... 180's are expensive. The all-glass tanks are somewhat cheaper, roughly 20% give or take a few.

Here's a 180 reef-ready oceanic 180 advert. It's only about 50 bucks to make the tank "reef-ready" so maybe take away twice that for an estimate of the price. This is for tank only too. It's a couple lines down on the page.

OK so the two CRS that got pregnant on Jan 3rd have given birth.. the other that was on Jan 5th still has its eggs but they look ready to go any time. So I have about 40 CRS babies running around the tank and 30-40 more any day now!

They are a lot easier to pick out of the substrate than the Cherry Shrimp which were pretty much clear. They are red and white striped at birth which stands out.
