Post subject: Question About Tank Mates
I was wondering whether or not I could add a pair of rams to my 55 gallon tank. It has 3 small angels, a gourami, a few danios, and a few cherry barbs in it now. Will the angels bother the rams?

No telling for sure. I would think you'd be safe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The reasons I think you'd be okay are...
1) Angels are aggressive eaters, but not "mean" by nature. They can get pretty aggressive defending their spawning space & their young, but they're usually not killers unless we're talking about guppies of small neons.
2) I has some rams (gold & german blue) for quite a while. They seemed to be pretty docile fish until they spawned...then they beat the tar out of invaders...including some fish much bigger than them. Even wound up killing a couple.
So unless bolivians are much different from golds or germans, my guess would be that you're probably ok.
Anyone have a different view?
BUT...always remember...there are no guarantees. Fish are like people in the sense that some of them are just jerks regardless of their roots.
