Anyone have a medium sized (6" or so) pleco? What kind is not as important as....

1) Not a common plec
2) One that will stay under 10" or 12"

I might like one for the Oscar/Severum tank.

Why do you want a L number in with your oscar ? Why one that will be much smaller than your oscar ? Here are a few catfish that would be good with oscars (what other people keep with large cichlids)
Pimelodus maculatus or Spotted Pim
Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps or Sailfin Pleco
Megalodoras urunoscopus (formerly Megalodoras irwini) or Mother of Snails Catfish
Hemisynodontis membranaceus or Moustache Catfish
Parauchenoglanis macrostoma or Dwarf Giraffe Catfish
Synodontis decorus or Clown Catfish

I like plecs...they're durable...and a 7" or so one won't be swallowed by anyone. And...Since I have two fish that will be pretty large in the 150 already, I thought a 7 or 8 incher might not be all bad. Out of the ones you mentioned (via PC cut and paste Wink ) I like the Spotted Pim & Clown the best.

Thanks for the ideas. Any more???

Saw a full grown cat at my LFS tonight - shaped kind of like a syno - probably 8" long, jet black with fancy fins - looked like it was wearing black scarves.

I searched all the images in the PC database & either missed it - or it's not there. Any idea?

His dorsal looked kind of like this one...

AKA the featherfin, becarefull if you go for one as there are alot of hybrids out of the chech republic (or whatever they call it now) about. personaly if you want a synodontis, then i would go for the s.decorus a beautifull fish when fully grown as the following pics will show (Guess where this one lives)

Nope Clunk - not that one. This thing was jet black with way longer, wavier fins - almost veiled. And I've decided to leave it partially because of the LFS's high DKS factor. (Don't Know Sh**t) I'm going for pretty and getting this guy from mpp...

9+ inches and i think it'll look awesome with a big white Oscar, and a green (and yellow and red) severum.

Yeah - PC had some server problems 7-4-07. Try it now.

X24 - the weird black one was at Pet World.

And the one I decided on (link above) was from mpp. Good looking fish!

I believe the scarved cat was a synodontis eupterus as I have one that is almost black. Good call on the sabaji though.
