I wanna get discus so badly, but my girlfriend says I'm not allowed to. Yet. Confused Which is probably for the best... Not enough money to support them, but it sure would be nice, ya know...

Thanks for all the compliments.
I haven't noticed that the L18 has grown. He looks the same as when I got him.

Probably so. I finally found a L81 and it has lived for 3 weeks or longer. I was about ready to give up trying to find one.

Clunk, he's fairly small and very fast. I will try and get some pics of him. I think I can get this one to live. It was at my lfs for 3 weeks or so before I got him. He fights with some of the bigger plecs in the 75 gallon.

K. I know little to nothing about the different discus colors, but I know that I could blow up your brain talking about different betta finnage and colorations.

And that is the reason we all find the hobby so fasinating, yes you could blow our brains out with bettas, just like me, funky and mpp could return the favour with L nos Rolling Eyes Dont you just love the diversity of the differing colours/species.
Mind you Discus and Bettas have a lot in common, a lot are man made

Yes! That's why I love this hobby! There is always something to learn!

I tend to stay away from "man-made" fish, but for some reason, I fancy bettas. Anything else, I can admire, but I just won't keep them.
