When are these stores opening? This is pretty cool that two of the best lfs's in Omaha are moving right next to each other. Really makes it quite easy to see where i'm going first off every trip to Omaha!

But when are they opening? Charlies' Angels has been closed for quite a while so i'm thinking it should be open maybe by now, but i haven't been there for a couple weeks so idk whether either of the new locations is open or not.

Charlies is already open for business. He altough is not doing anything with fish. Mostly puppies. Jeff (Paradise Cove Owner) will have the best in my opinion shop in the state. I know that they are working hard to get to their grand opening and It will be soon. I live about an hour and a half away and will always drive to his place whenever in town. It a must stop thing.

I don't mean to take away from the store owners, but if you like Jeff's stock, you can find almost any of those fish locally at 1/10th the price.

I offered to sell him my Demasoni fry (1'' only) for $1.50 each and turned me down, when they were marked at $14.99 for the SAME SIZE! I would have delievered them and all..

That aside, my intention is to not belittle business owners; I would mark up things myself if it were my business. But, if you want quality fish for cheaper, they can be found quite easily.

I personally am willing to pay more for a healthy fish, that has been well cared for, in a locally owned and operated business.

ladiesman hit it right on the nose. I dont only say this about someone who is more than a friend to me. I ve bought many a thing from Jeff and have never been disappointed. And believe it or not he often times buy things from you than most other pet stores or give you a fair amount for store credit. Heck it it were only for store credit I would sell alot of my discus or angels gladly to other pet stores. Anyone need discus or angels Very Happy .

So is the cheeper fish better than the one that cost HOW MUCH more ? No the better fish is found out by looking and being prepared to hunt around all the shops. Thats the way to find the fish you wernt looking for aswell

wish somebody woulda told me they didn't have fish in yet.

i go there and they have beautiful tank setups (all those 33 longs they had ordered) but no water or fish in...they are transfering all existing stock over this week and getting new stock in a couple of weeks.

total disapointment. especially after i emailed to ask when they open, dude tells me the 9th and they do open the 9th but have absolutely 0 stock.

Ohwell i got some dark grey sand some hornwort for my feeder breeding tanks and a couple of other small things from Petsmart, atleast they always have stock onhand lol.

I would have gladly told you if I had known; I refuse to pay shops that over charge. I'll gladly give my money to local breeders who make wise deals.

I don't go into any LFS here for fish. The selection is a sight for sore eyes as well as quality. Worst of all are the prices.

order online then? If so maybe next time you do we could get a group order running. It would probably help out quite a few people from the area and cut down on shipping.

I order fish in all the time. Let me know what everyone is looking for and I'll check the lists to see if they are available. I don't mind splitting shipping charges by anymeans

I am patiently waiting the opening of the new PC. Even with the new CA, I still will NOT give them my business.

The new PC location was supposed to have opened back Dec. 8th or 9th, but here we are mid-February and they still haven't opened the new location. Sooooo...whenever it opens, I will gladly check it out.

Has anyone heard about the Pet World buy-out? I haven't heard anything about it in several months. I haven't been to any LPS or LFS or even the big box stores in a few months, so I can't give comment on conditions or anything. Heck, I haven't even been here in awhile. But I will be seeing some of you this Sunday. Bovinet, get the Kegerator ready. Very Happy
