hmmm taking fish out of water to beat people? I bet if i threw my salvini at somebody it might latch onto them with its teeth....i can deffinately see it biting off somebody's nipple
Do you ever have the overwhelming urge to beat people like that in the head with wet fish?
Barbarian I would never take any of my fish out of the tank too beat anybody round the head. I might feed them to me fish though
That brings to mind a quote I once heard in a movie:
Don't kill 'em. 'Cause if you kill 'em, he won't learn nothin'.

grrrrr im getting highly impatient with paradise cove. Went there again and they have about 6 freshwater tanks stocked.....they have a very large amount of tanks and most of them they have sectioned off into thirds so there should be quite a selection, but its been probably close to a month with barely any fish.
Nice selection of non-livestock for sale though. I also spied what i'm betting with be a nice sized freshwater display tank (6x2x3 is looks to be) and a couple long acrylic tanks.
I'm going to email the guy and see A. when they are going to expect to be fully stocked and B. If he could order in some species of fish i want......

The guy told me on the phone there would be 28 cichlid tanks but he might have meant 28 freshwater tanks...

looks to be around 28 tanks, maybe a few more and deffinately more if they section off quite a few into thirds.
I'm hoping they don't go all africans because really there are already enough places specializing in africans. They need to get some good CA/SA's and oddballs.

If you're looking for a few C/A's I have some Honduran Red Points available. Tons of angelfish too.

HRP's are nice, but im looking more for larger and rarer. Stuff like different species of Crenicichla and normal morph bay snooks.
hmmm gives me an idea.

If it were a different time, I would hop on those HRP but I have to be a little more selective until I get a house next year.
I have a beautiful 6-7" female flowerhorn I am probably gonna have to get rid of some time too. I had a misconception that 2 large female CA's could live together in a 75Gallon tank. I am much more attached to my Female Red Devil then I am the Flowerhorn I got about 2 months ago so now they just stare at each other through the divider all day =-/
Hey mike, I know you are a pleco expert, is the standard pleco the best bet to handle the aggression of a Red Devil or is there a better option?

Well I guess it would be the cheapest way to go but I'd recommend not having a pleco if the female is that aggressive.

Ya RD's can be aceholes when it comes to tankmates. Its rather easy to get them to have tankmates if you have a 150+ with other hyper-aggressive tankmates.
I had to flip stocking all around and place the salvini in my 29 gallon used to be growout because he is so aggressive, but i hope he can end his problem once i get the 125+ gallon this summer.

almost 2 months and paradise cove still isn't worth going to at all.
I've given up on them pretty much. Aquapets is still the best there is in Omaha.

I was just recently at Pet World and they had a pretty decent selection of cichlids actually.
They had some really nice Geophagus Tapajos "Red Heads".
Definitely not fish you find in a store very often.

Knowledgable employees, they are kind to all, they don't have extrodinary freshwater stock but they get in some nice oddities and they will order stuff in for you with pleasure. You can go there and just talk to the employees and they don't mind talking for a long time about anything fish related.
They do focus a lot more on saltwater then fresh, but they are a business and sw does generate a lot more revenue then fw.
If i want normal fish i'll just stop at petsmart or petland as they are cheaper then aquapets, petworld, paradise cove, the fish store ect.
