All of you who know me know that I LOVE my Discus & that I've been pretty absent from this site for long periods of time.

Other than my normal job which is busier than hell, I've been negotiating & trying to put together my own fish selling site.

It's just a baby now, but I have a partner and some stock, so we're on the grow. We've already made some sales even though we've not yet promoted the site.

Check it out - it's just a one page site now featuring six types of discus and a couple types of plecs. We're working on getting many more species we have up within the next week or so.

Take a look - and BREEDERS - we may have something to talk about!

my advice:

Join a lot of fishkeeping forums, ask what kind of fish they'd like to see and see what you can get your hands on. I know many forums offer a vender section and thats free publicity on some of the largest fish keeping communities.

Try:

Monsterfishkeepers.com
Aquaticpredators.com
Waterwolves.com

Those are the 3 large forums i'm a member of that has merchant sections. You get Vinny's fishroom large enough and start selling more diverse stock and those three will provide you with mountains of customers and free publicity.

Already working on that. We have 11 auctions currently on Aquabid. Diversity wise, we're looking into everything freshwater. I'll say more when and if it happens, but I think we're bringing in some stingrays soon. Not normal looking ones either...really cool ones. Arowana are not out of the question either.

On top of that we have a few breeding setups going that may eventually become profitable.

Stay tuned.

Its good to see some midwest rays coming in. I personally don't have the tanks or money to get into rays, but there isn't very many places in the mid-west that sell rays.

What is going to be the source of your non local bred fish? Like are you ordering in from places like Jeff Rapps (tangledupincichlids.com)? If you do i have quite a list of good breeders and importers across the USA that you could try to get some very diverse stock.

We have a pretty wide selection of sources, but always interested in finding more. If you get time you could send them to

If you liked he list i have a few more good sources. I know some of them were more or less aimed at personal buyers (like aquascapeonline) but in that case i included it as more of an idea of where you could move your website to, only instead of specializing in pirahnas you can specialize in discus since that really seems to be your passion.
