You may have noticed that there's no longer any mention of Pet World here. There are a few reasons that I'll share when I can.

For now - suffice to say that it actually created more of a hassle for poor Haley than it helped. It put her in akward positions that she didn't deserve.

Secondly - although she does a fantastic job of running the store - she hasn't been allowed to make some marketing and promotion decisions that would have made the affiliation better.

As I said, I'll give you full details when I can.

All that being said - none of this has anything to do with Haley. She's still #1 in my book (sorry Clunkster). Haley & Chris are in better standing than ever with me & I hope to have them participate in the forum more now.

Yeah, Mike. I know you & Haley got to know each other better since this forum went up. I know she likes you, too. But you know - some things just don't work out practically.

There's more to the story - check back mid week next week & I can elaborate.

I just saw her husband Chris tonight - bought a Discus from him.

Anyway - the good news is maybe we can (at least through here & Fish Freaks) form some sort of buying group & get some breaks. I know we have a buttload of basement breeders & large tank keepers. With no specific alliance, maybe we can work deals with retailers or places like kensfish.com (who I buy from and just posted a banner for) to save some $$. Things like buffer, Prime, shipping supplies, food, etc.

What do you think of that? Maybe a every other month or even quarterly order? It's worth considering.

For sure. I have looked at him. Nice things. Just no orders yet. I think a nice big group order will help get discounts and such

Actually I'm really good with numbers. Made my living that way for quite a while now - insurance/financial services etc.

Anyway - to update you all on the Pet World thing....

It's now common knowledge and I know a few of you heard - but Chris & Haley are no longer with Pet World. It's a shame - mostly for the customers - and the owner.

Not to get into bashing or anything - but I just think it's too bad that people don't realize the value of others until it's too late. I guarantee that that business will realize how much those two were worth in VERY short order.

I spoke to Haley this morning. She is starting a new job Monday outside of the fish world and is really psyched about it. Hopefully, when the new job dust settles, we can get her back on here as a regular user.
