is the general guideline I have been using for fertilizer in my tank.
I have a 46 gallon so I use the 40-60 gallon guide but modify it since I overfeed. So instead of 1/2 tsp KNO3 I only do 1/4 tsp. My tap water has .5 ppm phosphate so I don't dose the KH2PO4 after the water change, just the other two days. I also checked my nitrate and phosphate levels twice a week for a month just to make sure I wasn't giving too much or too little, I try and keep around 15-20 Nitrate and 1.5 Phosphate. I only do about a 40% change every week and have skipped a week here and there because I am lazy, not too big of a deal since I'm not dealing with high growth and know how much nitrate the plants are using.

, he is somewhere close in Iowa and I had them within a day of ordering. $20 of fertilizer will last me close to two years and if I was using the same amount of liquids I'm sure it would be $100 if not a lot more.
I am doing DIY CO2 with 3 2-liters right now but since it is cold I can't maintain over 10-15 ppm CO2.
